El-Sadat separates his party from Lakah, with a new deputy for the Reform and Development Party

Yesterday the alliance that was previously made between the Reform and Development Party headed by Anwar El-Sadat and Masrena Party headed by Ramy Lakah was ended and each one has his stand-alone party now.

With this new independence Anwar El-Sadat, head of the Reform and Development Party, appointed Dr. Mustafa Awad as his deputy for the party (in place of Ramy Lakah with whom the alliance was ended) until the internal elections of the party are conducted. This decision stands as of today Thursday, 20-December-2012.

This decision comes in the pretext of prepping for the upcoming parliamentary elections to realign the Reform and Development Party after the separation. All of this calls for an intensification of the efforts and more preparation for the upcoming parliamentary elections in case the constitution got passed.
