Anwar El-Sadat (President of the Reform and Development Party) requested the dismissal of Hisham Qandil's government on the pretext of the cabinet's approval to the draft law that amends some provisions of the sales tax and submitting it to the president for promulgation. Same thing about the law issued by the president to amend the Law No. 35 for the year 1976 concerning the labor unions and the ongoing trend of increasing the prices of electricity, energy, cigarettes, mobile cards, fertilizer, soft drinks and others which were all halted by the president once he sensed the wrath in the street.
El-Sadat pointed out that Qandil's government supposedly came to achieve a revival project that can help develop the citizen and add to him. Furthermore, these laws were supposed to be passed through the parliament after its election and not by a decree law.
But what is happening now is a setback that leads to burdening the citizens and Egyptian families more than their load which is a clear violation of the government's promises to improve the income level of the people and apply the values of social justice.
For this reason the government must be dismissed to stop this farce and to stop this continuous economic deterioration.
