Anwar Esmat El-Sadat (founders' representative of the Reform and Development Party) sent an urgent request to the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces as well as the Minister of Petroleum pleading them to intervene immediately in order to resolve the diesel shortage crisis after it vanished from the gas stations all of a sudden in most of Egypt's governorates.
El-Sadat assured the importance of immediate action towards facing this crisis seriously because the diesel fuel shortage will be detrimental for the flow of life and development. Its absence can threaten a full standstill of all the cars, vehicles and most of the transportation in addition to being crucially essential for all the citizens and farmers. Shortage in diesel can be fatal to all the bread makers in addition to the farmers who use it to run the water pumps essential for irrigation of the plantations.
El-Sadat emphasized the importance of collaboration between the supreme council and the ministry of petroleum so as to resolve this crisis right away before it takes a dangerous turn leading the country into clashes and major problems at a time when Egypt has had its full share of all the continuous crises.
