Mr. Anwar Essmat Al-Sadat expressed his regret for the appalling incident directed against Al-Qidiseen Church in Alexandria describing it as a criminal and abhorring incident. He demanded the ministry of internal affairs to quickly catch the culprits and to instantly punish them.
Al-Sadat condemned the security services in Egypt, represented in the Ministry of the Interior, blaming them for failing to secure the churches of Egypt and its Christian citizens despite the prior warnings. He wishes that the ministry would carry on their part in securing the safety of Egypt using the same degree of excellence they used in securing the governing system, rigging the election and inventing the most creative methods to dispose of political opponents and eliminate every free voice that sincerely loves the country.
Al-Sadat called for the government to recognize its failure, its negligence and its inability so far to deepen the concept of citizenship and eradicate the discrimination and hatred between human beings on the basis of ideas and beliefs? He further condemned their lack of action towards locating the roots of the strife in order to eliminate them, that is if they really work under the alleged motto of: So you would be secure about the future of your children!
