Parliamentarian Anwar El Sadat, President of the Reform and Development Party, asked the House of Representatives to call the Minister of Interior to clarify the role of the security apparatus in the discovery of the murder of Italian student, Giulio Regeni, and the procedures taken to know the truth behind this incident. In addition, the procedures taken to provide protection of foreign diplomatic employees in Egypt.
El Sadat clarified that most European countries and the United States, reported on this incident in their front pages which implies our responsibility to reassure everyone domestically and internationally of the precautions taken to preserve Egypt's reputation as a stable and secure country, in addition to the trust in its security apparatuses.
