Chairman of the Reform and Development Party, Mohamed Anwar El Sadat, demanded that the General Prosecutor starts an official and immediate investigation into Dr. Hazem Abdel Azim's published statement about the interference of the Egyptian Intelligence Agency and some President advisors in forming the "In Love with Egypt" Parliamentary coalition, in addition to appointing members of Parliament with loyalty and cooperation with government security apparatuses to chair parliament committees.
El Sadat added that Dr Abdel Azim's dangerous statement calls for further public investigation to reassure Egyptians that there is real separation and balance of powers and that there is real change after two revolutions. Egyptians have a right to know whether the new Egypt is entirely different from the practices of the old Egypt and that not a single person or entity has complete dominance and control.
