Anwar El-Sadat ,"President of the Human Rights Committee in the Former People's Assembly," urged President / Abdel Fattah El-Sisi ,Minister of Interior and the Attorney General to immediately assign a committee to examine the case of Egyptian detainees on hunger strike in custody cases, specifically, "Abdullah al-Shami and Mohammed Sultan.
Sadat stressed on the need for informing the public opinion internally and externally of the real situation of detainees health and for the public prosecutor or prisons sector to issue an official statement explaining their situation and the real reasons behind their hunger strike to determine how to convince them to end their hunger strike for humanitarian reasons.
Sadat urged the concerned parties to act as soon as possible to save these detainees lives, regardless of their accusations, especially with different reports in hand that confirm a quick deterioration of their health condition.
