Anwar El-Sadat (President of the Reform and Development Party) considered the nomination of Dr. Essam El-Erian, Dr. Sabah Al-Saqari and others before Dr. Saad Al-Katatni as a theatrical democracy-play that is produced and directed by the Freedom and Justice Party to counter the ongoing talk about how they are dividing and distributing positions either among themselves as a party or within the state institutions, especially after the resonating complaints of many from the "Brotherization" of the state institutions.
El-Sadat confirmed that the Muslim Brotherhood is set on supporting one particular candidate and that even the competitors themselves will give their voice to the candidate backed by the supreme guide. It is known that the nomination of Dr. Sabah Al-Saqari isone of the party's plans to beautify the scene with a female face that would wipe allegations that women are marginalized within the Brotherhood.
El-Sadat asked the Brotherhood to respect the minds of Egyptians who have done the greatest revolution in history, stressing that there is no need for such fabricated plays especially after Al-Katatni received, last Tuesday, a high-level German delegation at the headquarters of the party in downtown Cairo. Afterwards the delegation went for a meeting with Al-Arian, the acting head of the party, at the party's branch in Manial El-Roda. This all spells the official interaction of the delegations with Al-Katatni as the first political representative of the party and its next president.
