Anwar El-Sadat, President of the Reform and Development Party, requested the leaders and members of the FJP and the Islamic revolutionary forces to immediately cease talking about the independence of the investigations and judgments of the judges and the Attorney General except in the ways legislated by the law and the Constitution. He called on everyone to dedicate their full time to realizing the hopes and aspirations of the people and solving the issues and worries of the nation.
El-Sadat confirmed that the lofty Egyptian judiciary possesses a proven competence and integrity throughout history, and for this reason no one should insult or offend it.
El-Sadat called the constituent assembly to work hard on achieving the principle of balance and separation of powers in all the articles of the constitution especially when it comes to the judiciary power, in order to achieve justice and the rule of law. This is the time when the world is watching carefully this critical moment in the life of the Egyptian state.
