El-Sadat calls the political parties and civil powers for an urgent meeting to take a position from the interference in the work of the judiciary

Anwar El-Sadat (President of the Reform and Development Party) called the Egyptian Nation Coalition, the conference parties group, the Popular Stream Alliance and all the streams and civil parties to an urgent meeting at the headquarters of this party to discuss what he described as "the incursion of the executive authority" through the decision of the Egyptian President's to dismiss the Attorney General whose appointment and dismissal only falls under the Law of the Independent Judicial Authority as stipulated by the constitutional declaration and the country's constitution, which guarantee his immunity and the separation of powers.

El-Sadat confirmed that regardless of the Attorney General's person; whether we agree or disagree with him, whether we supported or rejected the decision of his dismissal, we should never repeat what happened before when the Constitutional Court ruled to dissolve the People's Assembly and the President ordered its reinstatement then the Constitutional Court ruled the ineligibility of this resolution.

El-Sadat noted that obviously the president's advisers and aides, while giving in to the public and revolutionary pressures, are producing reactions and decisions that are not consistent with the essence of the law and the constitution. This is confirmed by the judiciary clubs and courts' general assemblies which rejected this interference in the work of the judiciary considering any infringement upon it as an assault on the justice state and the rule of law.
