Modified martial law and the suspicion of being unconstitutional

RDP in cooperation with the Egyptian Democratic Institute held a seminar on the amendment of the martial and national laws and the uncertainty about being unconstitutional, since it affirmed by Anwar Esmat El-Sadat, Founders Representative of RDP, that the recent amendment to the law tainted by suspicion of its unconstitutionality, where the police is a civilian body as mentioned in the Constitution and it is not applicable to apply martial laws on a civilian body. The said seminars come in the framework of the legislative Forum of the Party, which always discuss all laws and amendments suggested in the People's Assembly, taking into account the vision of civil society as well as the vision of the experts in laws to reach the laws which serve the Egyptian citizen.
