The unity of Youth Studies and Preparation of Leaders in collaboration with the German organization Friedrich Ebert had organized a workshop on the vision of RDP youth to amend the Political Parties Law No. 40 for year 1977.
members participated in the symposium by presenting the vision of the party in this regard. Mohamed Anwar Esmat Sadat, Founders Representative of RDP, stressed that the right way for any kind of reform is development, because the outcome of development is noticeable.
He also stressed that the law No. 40 for year 1977 allow the freedom of forming parties, but the Committee itself imposes restrictions, since the beginning of its formation until maintaining stringent controls over the parties, which led to the imposition of many restrictions, especially with regard to the issue of financing the political parties.
Also, the Committee restricts communication with the public which led to the weakening of its role. He also clarified that the formation of parties must be by notification only to preserve the partisan life in Egypt.
If the Parties Affairs Committee has any objection, it must resort to the judiciary. He also added that the actual legitimacy of the parties comes from people and not from Committees.
