Parliament Member/ Anwar El-Sadat, Head of Reform and Development Party (RDP) submitted a Fact-Finding Committee proposal signed by 20 members to Parliament Speaker/ Dr. Ali Abdel-Aal. He calls for investigation of the stock of monuments in the State's inventory; and of the preserving procedures taken to protect such monuments. Further, he asserts that the monitoring agencies are crucial so as to protect such monuments from stealing.
El-Sadat highlights that such inventories have thousands of antiques and monuments that were kept hidden for years, however, interference is needed to make sure that the State authorities are performing their duties and that those monuments are kept safe. Also, those monuments could be used in Museums to attract tourists and make revival which will increase foreign currency and make revival in our Egyptian economy.
