Mr. Anwar El-Sadat, Chairperson of Human Rights Committee (HRC) stresses that Dr. Ali Abdel-aal, Parliamentary Speaker calls for an urgent meeting next week for the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security and HRC. Such meeting is to make a report on the situation and give suggestions as a way out of the crisis after the Italian Parliamentary Decision seconding the Italian Senate's Decision to suspend its mission and Military equipment as of the murder of the Italian student Giulio Regina.
El-Sadat clarifies that the call for this meeting is after submitting many petitions by the parliamentary members to reconsider the economic and petroleum agreements between Italy and Egypt and after Italy's parliamentary decision on Egypt's plan to combat terrorism.
El-Sadat highlights that escalation is not for the best interest of both Egypt and Italy. He adds that there is bi-cooperation between the two countries on the national and international levels, on top of list the illegal immigration through the Mediterranean. Also, the situation in Libya and other issues need reconsideration.
