El-Sadat: Allocating to Military the Land specified for new roads is non-understandable

Parliament Member/ Mr. Anwar El-Sadat, Head of Reform and Development Party calls the government for clarifying Decree 233 of the year 2016 taken by the President of the Republic. Such Decree allocates to the Military 2 km of land on both sides of 21 roads currently under construction of reconstruction. Such land will be considered a Military zone.

El-Sadat can hardly understand such act; especially that Egypt at this moment is targeting economic reform, incorporating projects, and developing industry. We need to think outside the box to provide job opportunities for the Egyptians. Further, assigning the Prime Minister and the Authorities concerned to set strategic plans to develop such land raises questions. How can such land be a Military zone while developing it for economic progress?

El-Sadat adds that the New National Road Network is being funded from the State's Treasury. Thus, the revenues of such project shall be transferred to the State budget to make a balance and lessen the deficit so we can control the raise in the government public debt.
