Anwar El-Sadat, Chairman of the Reform and Development Party, excused himself from accepting the invitation that President Muhammad Morsy extended to all the heads of the political parties and powers to deliver an important speech in front of them next Wednesday. Coincidently, this invitation was received by El-Sadat during the meeting of the Executive Bureau of the party which unanimously rejected the president's call.
Anwar El-Sadat confirmed that he had previously responded to calls from the president for national dialogues related to crucial issues that interest all the Egyptians, such as the kidnapping of the Sinai soldiers and the Renaissance Dam. He attended all these dialogues out of his national responsibility and care for the benefit of the nation and out of his hope to reunite the Egyptians. These dialogues however did not bear any fruits, and right now it is too late for any meetings or dialogues.
