Anwar El-Sadat (Head of the Reform and Development Party) confirmed that his party made some important studies about the needs of farmers, fishermen and some other marginalized social groups. These studies will be put forward to the Ministry of Finance next week. The studies were carried out in cooperation with associations, unions, and some experts in the field of acquiring resources.
El-Sadat stressed that his studies aim at allocating a respectable pension for the farmers (men and women) and the fishermen guaranteeing for them a decent life, and a health insurance they can benefit from in sickness, life ordeals or crises like all the other sectors of the society. When they reach the age of retirement, like all other employees and workers, they deserve to get a pension since their health will decline as well as their ability to work, in addition to the fact that their work depends on manual and hard labor.
El-Sadat pointed out that the eloquent Egyptian peasant contributed to the revival of the Egyptian civilization since the time of the Pharaohs and is still giving till now. He is the son of Egypt who gave her a lot and now it is time to pay him some attention before he takes off his jilbab and decides to neglect his land to find another job.
