El-Sadat demands the Minister of Youth to cancel the Girls' Parliament

Anwar El-Sadat, Head of the Reform and Development Party, demanded Dr. Osama Yassin (Minister of Youth) to cancel the project "Girls' Parliament" which the ministry is currently implementing across all the governorates of the Republic with the participation of Egyptian girls from different backgrounds and political orientations.

El-Sadat noted that this project is the beginning of real societal segmentation and utter racism, and it comes under pressure of the MBs to separate the males from the female within the youth activities. That's why the launch of this project came at this particular timing.

On the other hand, it is not a simulation of the Parliament as claimed by the ministry because the House of Representatives has female cadres and there is no separation between the men and women, and since the girls are not detached from the society and we do not need to uphold any projects to confirm this principle.

El-Sadat noted that no one can support the marginalization of women or isolating them from the community or paying no attention to their issues.

Instead we are all with activating their role and opening many platforms for them to express their issues, concerns, problems and aspirations. On the other hand, we do not want to establish a state of males and a state of females, since women always stood by the side of men in all the walks of life driven by the notions of justice and equality in rights and duties between men and women alike.
