El-Sadat, "Liberals and advocates of the civil state are busy with trivialities, and the National Party was their biggest protector."

Anwar Esmat El-Sadat (founders' representative of the Reform and Development Party) asserted his total dislike forthe way theliberalsand advocates ofthe civil stateand the intellectual elite have become. Their sole interest now is being afraid of the dominance of the Islamic movements over the political arena, rather than striving to challenge and defeat them in a democratic way through the elections.

El-Sadat added that the Liberals have fallen with the fall of the dissolved National Party, which was their protector and largest shield with its shameful actions and wrong behavior. But ever since its dissolution the reality of the liberals and the advocates of the civil state got exposed revealing their weaknesses and dissipation.

He also added that the youth of the revolution have every right to abandon them to be able to live freely in their new world. El-Sadat called the liberals and advocates of the civil state to reconcile and unite so as not to get scattered, after they have exhausted the nascent revolutionary government and after losing a lot of the people's confidence in them.
