After the Tahrir sit-ins were ended yesterday, Anwar Esmat El-Sadat founders' representative of the Reform and Development Party, requested SCAF and Sharaf's cabinet to allocate special places like the famous "Hyde Park" in London to be particularly designated for demonstrations and sit-ins under the protection of the police and with special media attention and coverage that can help convey the voices of the protesters to all the responsible officials.
El-Sadat confirmed that peaceful demonstrations are the constitutional right of everyone provided that this does not disrupt traffic or the lives of people in general. Allocating such places will convey the voices and the demands of the protesters or demonstrators to the government, the regime and the public opinion. It will also help achieve the goals in a politically mature and civilized manner.
He assured that such measures should only be intended for the sake of good order nothing more. So this should not be intended for the purpose of keeping the protesters away from the eyes of officials, and the place intended for such a purpose should not just be a building where the protesters will gather but it has to be a wide arena fit for tossing ideas and exchange views freely. At the same time he warned against some extreme behaviors that may turn the place into a shelter for sleeping or fun.
